Fort Eustis Garrison Chaplains Assistant Pvt. Sarah Wiggins lights a candle in remembrance of the 12 Soldiers and one civilian killed in the mass shootings at Fort Hood, Texas, Nov. 5. Fort Eustis held a remembrance and prayer service Monday at the Transportation Regimenal Memorial Chapel for the Soldiers and civilians killed and wounded in the attack.

Command Sgt. Maj. Tomás R. Hawkins, former command sergeant major for Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command, assumed the role of senior enlisted advisor for U.S. Transportation Command Nov. 10. Hawkins, a career Transportation Soldier and former SDDC command sergeant major, is the first Soldier to hold the position.

Keilah, Justus and Shepherd Hieb, children of Michelle and Staff Sgt. Mike Hieb, 7th Special Troops Battalion, 7th Sustainment Brigade, drop off cookies Nov. 5 at the Fort Eustis United Service Organization building for the Holiday Cookie Bake. The Hieb family brought in about six dozen cookies from the Fort Eustis Home School Group.

MCAHC makes H1N1, seasonal influenza post announcement --  The H1N1 nasal spray will be available Friday to children and adults that are 2 through 49 years of age, who are McDonald Army Health Center TriCare Prime beneficiaries, and are in good health. The nasal spray (weakened virus) cannot be given to beneficiaries that have asthma, diabetes, immune system disorders, or egg allergies.
